    starting off the new year in the best possible way. how this classic effortlessly balances the most charming comedic moments with a subtle portrayal of underlying loneliness and depression is endlessly compelling. also the ending always gets my inner romantic and radiates a wave of sheer feelgoodness. just about as close to perfection as movies get, folks.
