Hate to settle on a half rating like this because the acting in this is truly phenomenal. Shirley Maclaine and Debra Winger were the standouts. Their personalities were so distinct in the writing and their mannerisms, it was amazing to just watch them and even better when they had scenes together. As it progresses, it honestly loses steam and I lose my patience with the characters. The film passed no judgment on what's going on and I call that a good and bad thing. 5 time Academy Awards seems a bit much. I guess 1983 wasn't all too crazy of a year for film. This being the best of them isn't a surprise.
Jack had fun and I had fun with Jack.
