Sarah Knauf’s review published on Letterboxd:
One of the most cinematic movie's movies I've ever seen. A true delight from start to finish that relishes in using and acknowledging its movie magic. Perfectly paced, with the halfway point perfectly aligning with the return to the first movie's events, which are wonderfully edited around and virtually seamless. Cuts and camera tricks are easily spotted, but the craft and masterwork involved with them are such a cool treat that it only makes the movie better. The future setting is cheesy, yes, but charming and even eerily realistic at times. And the writing setting up the sequel is so smart and well constructed that I truly can't say anything negative about this film. Absolutely love this.
