we went to see Holes for my 10th birthday and my dad left the theater because he hated how “blue” the movie looked. he snuck into the tail end of What a Girl Wants and raved about it for the next two months until we agreed to watch as a family. he was amused by the British grandmothers wit and the Amanda Bynes shopping montage. the father-daughter dance at the end reduced him to tears.
