dude, i loved this movie. it explores accountability and adulthood in a witty and humorous way and was packed with great visuals and dope action scenes. also hit girl is quite possibly the coolest kid character i’ve ever come across.

i started this series and quickly dismissed it as boring and uninformative. boredom brought me back and suddenly i found myself binging the remaining episodes.
i liked how it was more of an exploration of women and sex workers’ role and regard in society than the story of a killer, though i felt that it took a while too long to get to that point.

while i admit i approached this movie with a fair bit of skepticism, every single character underwent significant and well thought out character development, the story had a clear morale and even though slightly trope-y, as an audience member, i could relate to what i saw on screen. the visuals made me cringe hardcore sometimes but, hey, it was the 90s.
