Daniel Ramos’s review published on Letterboxd:
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen this ever since I was a kid. I was 4 or 5 when this came out. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was hugely popular in the early 90’s. I even had a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Birthday Party with TMNT cereal and everything!
Even though some of the humor is only really understood if you’re an adult or older than 5, all the one liners are still hilarious and entertaining because of how it’s delivered. It’s extremely quotable and after a few viewings you can basically remember all the dialogue!
Cool martial arts, as there should be with a Ninja movie!
Great action cinematography!
Music and score really work!
They should put this one or the original in The Criterion Collection. Honestly.
Rating: 8.5-9/10 (but I may be a little biased lol)
So, the bad guys come back after getting the Ooze canister to taunt the Turtles? Lol all this time, of the hundreds of times watching it I’m I’m just noticing it now. I must have my reviewer brain on.
Pizza Delivery kid (Keno) is pretty rude to just walk into April’s apartment without being invited in.
Didn’t Shredder use the only Ooze canister to made his monster creatures? Did he make more? I think they had flub it to make it work.
Vanilla Ice, Ice baby!
That was a quick boss “fight”.
