Liam Barker’s review published on Letterboxd:
Don't be stupid, wear ear protection. Seriously. As someone that loves live music the idea of losing my hearing is fucking terrifying. It's something that naturally deteriorates as you age but you can do your best to prevent it happening earlier and reduce your chances of losing it completely. I made the decision to buy decent plugs a few years back and my ears are so grateful for it.
Anyway, rant aside. I was extremely excited for this. High praise from many and a subject that felt right up my alley. It's very good, though maybe a victim of hype. Seeing as sound is so key to the story it should come as no surprise that the sound design is truly excellent. Riz Ahmed is exceptional and I'm hoping this'll finally be a breakout moment for him. Direction and cinematography are good as well.
