Spencer Joseph’s review published on Letterboxd:
Shift is a 9 minute short composed entirely of footage of buildings that’s been edited heavily to make abstract images. I know people will dismiss things like this as boring or pretentious (and I’m not gonna argue with that), but it really worked for me. I like experimental stuff like this and I’m very interested in watching more of Toshio Matsumotos other shorts. I just bought on Amazon a Blu Ray of Funeral Parade Of Roses because it sounds super interesting and it’s not streaming anywhere.
Also, just want to give a shoutout to the reddit r/obscuremedia. Im always finding cool stuff on there (including this short)
