I LOVE THE ATTEMPT. I LIKE THE MOVIE.
There are some great scenes, shots, bits of lighting, bits of action and bits of gore that are simply brilliant. All in all it doesn’t add up to a great movie but the attempt is to be applauded. I want more of these films.

GOOD CONCEPT. MEDIOCRE EXECUTION
This film has a great trailer. The first 15-20 minutes are compelling if mildly annoying due to the some of the lead character’s choices. Then it sort of unravels and is largely undone by poor cgi.
It’s a mash of Invasion of the Body Snatchers, The Thing and Tremors. Unfortunately, it doesn’t live up to any of them.
I considered removing another star due to the closing song choice.
WHERE DID BRUNDLE GET ALL OF THOSE BABOONS?
