beyond all the filmmaking techniques i’m too dumb to talk about, something I truly loved about this movie is how perfectly it captured the vibes of west virginia and people who are from west virginia

a really fun short! mabel got a lot of screen time and she does what a lot of other people in “straight man” role don’t have, which is she’s able to get a lot of laughs based only on her reactions. also so funny to see chaplin get drunk & attempt to fight a punching bag.
