    The Living Daylights

    ★★★½

(James Bond #15) - James Bond, RANKED

The James Bond franchise needed some rocket fuel injected into its system after growing stale with Roger Moore. The Living Daylights delivers by introducing a new, younger Bond in Timothy Dalton. The movie feels like a series of montages at times, but this makes it feel quick and, above all else, entertaining.

(David Fincher #6) - David Fincher, RANKED

David Fincher returns to San Francisco and tackles a real-life case, that of the Zodiac serial killer. Like Se7en, the film is dark and the clues are expertly fed to the audience throughout. There's not much in the way of laughing other than short bursts of nervous chuckles when Robert Downey Jr. makes wisecracks with his proto-Tony Stark persona or Mark Ruffalo constantly asking for food. Its mostly about the investigation and the…
