So I just read this review by my LB friend, Maria, and it really resonated with me.
Sorry, I don't know how to make the link her name or what have you. Her experience with her audience wasn't my own, for which I am grateful because I would also have felt totally disgusted.
I almost didn't see this for many of the reasons she mentioned, but I've seen all of QT's films and segments of films so I gave in. But I think I'm done.
Look, as a person who is deeply nostalgic and knowledgeable about this time period, there was much for me to enjoy, and of course, I loved seeing Pitt and Dicaprio work so well together. But I just can't stomach supporting a man who I know has done a lot of harm including to a personal friend of mine. What he did to Uma Thurman, alone, should have been enough, but clearly, I'm just as much a sucker as I hoped I'd never be.
