Honestly, I'm happy at least he tried to make something different despite most of his filmmaking techniques being still present. For example, the over excessive use of pop songs and montages. But, I can't help myself but, to find greatness in this film.
There's something magical everytime Xavier Dolan makes a film. I always get chills in my body when something emotional/powerful happens. Maybe, he speaks to me. I know that sound corny as fuck but, it's the truth.
I don't man. Maybe, Xavier knows my life story. Because films like Mommy and I Killed My Mother are stories that happened in my lifetime.
I guess this is another part of my life.
