Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood

Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood ★★★★

Loses a lot of its magic, and flaws are far more apparent when viewing at home. Brad and Leo should have had way more screentime together, the Cliff Booth vs. hippie cult side quest was pointless and only somewhat entertaining, and the ending loses the shock factor that made it so marvelous. Still fantastic nonetheless. Performances are obviously incredible, and I completely forgot about how good the dialogue is. But the immersive nature the film has is unmatched; nobody will ever doubt that this is 1969.

It's more of a four and a half than a four, but I don't rate with halves anymore (starting to regret that), so a four it is.
