there were a handful of bits that got a laugh but this was otherwise the exact kind of surface-level attempt at satire the black mirror people are known for.

Jon Voight was supposed to star in this but bailed two days before shooting and I’m so glad he did. Can’t imagine this without Cassavetes himself playing the lead. What a film to go out on.
