I tried watching this movie a few months ago, but could not get into it within the first thirty minutes, so I stopped watching it. However, now that I have watched the entire film I will say that it is okay. I didn’t necessarily dislike it. I like the message behind it and Spike Lee trying to incorporate the stories of Black soldiers in the Vietnam War. The footage and photos from protests and wars helped tell the story, but some of them were a bit vulgar (and maybe a bit disrespectful to the bodies that were shown). The movie definitely took a turn and had my attention the entire two hours, but I’m not quite sure whether I would say if I like it or not yet.
