i loved this so much. this is so beautifully shot and edited i almost forgot it’s a comedy special. and i love that you get to see the creative process. watching bo go through all the different emotions is weird but, hey, who didn’t go through it during lockdown. just hope he is okay
i’m so glad leigh-anne got the opportunity to make this documentary. hearing all the different experiences from black women in the industry is jarring and it’s awful to think that in 2021 this is still happening. i also really appreciated the way they handled leigh-anne talking to her fiancé about his previous tweets and it’s important to acknowledge the impact of colourism within society too. a very important doc and should be watched by everyone
fuck the monarchy !! nothing but respect for MY king and queen harry and meghan
my LORD. what a film. my heart is shattered. the one take style adds so much intensity and the cinematography in this film is some of the best i have ever seen in my life. the scene when he’s running in ecoust MY GOD the lighting was so beautiful. and the end. holy hell the end. literally sobbed my heart out. and the fact that the opening mirrored the end was the most beautiful ending. and the dedication fully broke me. let it win all the awards.
