Tasha Robinson’s review published on Letterboxd:
Unquestionably the craziest movie at Sundance 2018, and also one of the most daring. Yeah, it's a bit notionally sloppy, but it's the kind of film that's so over-the-top ambitious and crowded with ideas, of course they aren't going to land. Writer-director Boots Riley (of The Coup) reminds me of Terry Gilliam in this film — anarchic, over-the-top, completely idiosyncratic, and startling as hell. Also, I've reached the point where just seeing Lakeith Stanfield showing up onscreen makes me smile.
