Wow. This was really good. The acting, the character, the lighting, the sound design...great film. Shows corruption and sensationalism in media. Lou is a sociopath with no empathy. He doesn’t even understand why what he is doing is wrong because he only cares about strategy and success. Morals don’t cross his mind bc they would only be an obstacle. The man is a walking self-help book, very strange.

In my opinion, every production aspect of this film is pretty close to perfect.  It’s just SO well done, I think it’s one of the best movies ever made.  It is real and raw and the actors do an impeccable job delivering that feeling.

I enjoyed this, worth the watch! Peg is so pure I just adored her. There are other boxing movies just like this but you have to remember that this came first.

This film is breathtaking.  I was in awe the entire time.  Especially during the scene where Heloise reads the story of Orpheus and Eurydice. There is so much passion, and the quote “He doesn’t make the lover’s choice, but the poet’s,” OOF so good.  The ending is amazing.
