Not as fun as I'd hoped it would be, but still an entertaining flick.
You all know the controversy surrounding this movie, so I'm not going to dig into that. I was actually looking forward to this movie. The trailer looked fun and it promised something like Ready Or Not. A movie I highly enjoyed.
This movie started out really damn fun. The one unexpected thing after the other was hitting you in a matter of seconds and I was on board. The jokes were funny and Betty Gilpin was incredible likeable as the lead character.
But the movie got a bit lost in its own political satire. They almost forgot to tell an entertaining story. Halfway through we're introduced to the character who's behind everything. And there's a certain 'twist' thrown in your face. It did not work for me, at all. They should've done it differently.
But I enjoyed the movie for everything else. It's a fun action/comedy with some neat action sequences and jokes that're actually funny and relevant.
Now, what should I watch next? Honestly, I have no fucking clue. I'm bored as fuck... We'll see...
