I thought Freddy was inside dreams? Did someone dream that part at the end? If that was my dream I’d dream of something cooler like Freddy chasing after me and scaring me, and Jason wouldn’t be there.

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

Ok? Unless Halloween Ends does something really innovative with this franchise, this trilogy and new (and “final”) continuity did not need to exist and Michael Myers is due for retirement. Drive is a movie reflective of its protagonist. It’s quiet, simplistic, compassionate, stylish; but not without moments of extreme anxiety-filled and adrenaline-fuelled violence that throw you into the reactionary deep-end.

Ending / starting my year the right way with this masterpiece. The clock ticked to 2021 during the part where Peter describes Mary-Jane in the hospital. My first time watching on blu-ray, such a mind-blowing experience. Always get goosebumps when he says “I have a father”. Finally boosting this film to the 4.5 stars it deserves because the year of Raimi is upon us. I definitely have a personal bias that makes me see certain aspects of this film as more endearing or mature than others do, but the first two Spider-Man movies are so comforting.
