    Things Heard & Seen

    ★★★★

A film for lovers of classic American paintings ( George Innes) and Hudson Valley artists  ; and  theology on Heaven & Hell ( Swedenborg) . Art Historians would love this . I didn’t really see this film as a horror film. The spiritual allegories in this film create a greater focus. Quite an academic story

Spent a bit of time on Wikipedia after watching this.

This is a descent into Hell movie. George Claire ( James Norton) is one evil bastard.

    Amanda Seyfried is excellent

    Do No Harm

    ★★★

This TV movie took a while to get going.  A young woman ;(Emily attempts suicide after the tragic death of her fiancé. After seeing a female psych (Dr Thorne )  who she trusts, it becomes clear Dr Thorne is fixated with Emily

Lauren Holly is excellent. Her beauty is still there  and presence as the villain Dr Thorne  holds this story together.

    ★★★★½

La La Land looks absolutely gorgeous on screen. Arguably the most spectacular visual film I've seen in some time.

Everything from set designs, artistic designs, choreography and cinematography are superb.

    It Follows

    ★★★½

As most people who have seen  It Follows can testify it's straight out JOHN CARPENTER particularly his film classic Halloween. The visual style and its soundtrack
    Have simalarities.

Story does have some originality and its nice to have a horror film similar to those from the 80's. Some very creepy scenes that make you feel cold and tense. It's a very good film but for me could have been improved with the very poor ending and at times boring in places
