Fritz Lewis’s review published on Letterboxd:
Well that was disappointing.
The only redeeming qualities are Harley and Deadshot.
Leto's Joker was a complete waste.
The writing was terrible, giving barely any depth or sense to most of these characters, and bringing up one of the worst villians I've ever seen.
Oh, and Slipknot? Wtf was that?
The songs are all misused, and the editing couldn't be choppier.
Overall, it's an entertaining, lackluster mess, with a few good character moments and action, but the writing and editing tore this apart.
A missed opportunity, and I don't know how much of the production cuts caused this.
Either way, probably the worst treatment of the Joker I've ever seen.
Pretty much verything except for Deadshot and Harley Quinn were treated pretty poorly if I were being honest.
2.5/5 is probably a little generous given how much I actually enjoyed it, even if a lot of it doesn't make much sense.
