    A Brighter Summer Day

I urge you to give this your time... your patience, your undivided attention. It’s 4 hours. Every minute is worth it. Don’t look away. Don’t get bored although I struggle to see how you would be bored by this magnificent achievement of cinema.

It’s already due a rewatch but I don’t know when I’ll have a spare 4 hours! Many long films are due a rewatch. This is what happens when some of the greatest films ever are super long…

    The Mitchells vs. The Machines

    ★★★★

I was delightfully surprised when the overwhelmingly positive reviews started to come out about this film. Judging from the trailers it looked fine, mostly stuff we’ve seen before.

I was still slightly wary going in, joined by my younger 10-year-old brother we sat down to watch the film and we had a great time.

First of, it’s stunningly animated I loved the mixture of animation styles. The film has a big personality to it which I really enjoyed. It’s very…

A Woman of Paris: A Drama of Fate

    ★★★½

I believe this was Chaplins first serious drama? He doesn’t act in it either. And I must say it was quite good. Drawn-out slightly too long yet a very nice ending. A good story, told well.

    The Woman in the Window

    ★½

Wow... I was not expecting this to THAT bad. Feels like the type of film I’d want to make... maybe 3 years ago. So many unintentionally funny moments. So stupid and silly.
I must say, it looks lovely. Seriously the cinematography LOOK was lovely. Some of camera work was.... questionable.
    A stacked cast... wasted.
Trying to be a modern day Rear Window just coming off as copying Rear Window.

    Zack Snyder's Justice League

    ★★

I wanted to be kinder to this film. I wanted to like it. And I’m happy for all the Snyder fans out there who got this film released and are hopefully enjoying it (people seem to be loving it... that baffles me, but ok)

It’s definitely some sort of improvement from the theatrical cut. Characters are fleshed out. People have motivations. And I really enjoyed the whole team dynamic going on. Except for Flash... he was almost unbearable. The first…

I’ve made another short film! This one being my shortest and the first film I’ve ever made without myself acting in it. I’ve learned a lot. I’m the first person to admit it’s flawed.
As always I appreciate constructive feedback good or bad. Here’s the link- youtu.be/w1a-t0wcFMg
