WINTER "HIGH ART" MARATHON #85
Yet another Haneke art piece.
Although I didn't like this quiiiiite as much as The Piano Teacher and Amour, this is an incredibly well made movie, well deserving of the Palme d'Or it won at Cannes.
As always, Haneke loves his long, static shots and the B+W visuals add a lot to the film's mood. It's a very bleak, very cruel movie, but I was glued to the screen the whole time.
I hope Benny's Video gets a re-release soon because I would have definitely included it on this marathon.
Only 14 more movies to go...
