The costumes, effects, and creature design in this movie are glorious. The humor is weird and not every gag lands but I can forgive the occasional groaner for a movie that relies so heavily on practical effects and puppetry to fill out their expansive universe of sci-fi/fantasy aliens ripping, shredding, and exploding each other into gory messes.

Oh and thank you, PSYCHO GOREMAN, for doing your part to bring back the end credits movie plot rap.

Top-tier anxiety-inducing movie. You understand why she does what she does but she's also reckless and you know there's no way this movie is going to end well. And then there's a turn or two that I didn't see coming that caught me across the jaw.

There are many things to appreciate in this movie but the casting of Bo Burnham tops the list. He's used to such great effect that it's almost cheating.

Could a movie like CLERKS be successful if it were made now? Made on a miniscule budget, funded on credit cards, shot on location at the director's day job, cast with his friends, and overloaded with dick jokes and Gen-X cynicism?

Just look where Kevin Smith's career has gone. The man is living his dream right now and it all started with this little black and white comedy. At the very least, I have loads of respect for CLERKS for its humble beginnings and what came of it.

It also happens to be damn funny.

This is the good shit. It's right up there with X2 at the top of this franchise. It's also the last good X-Men movie before the studio was bought out.

I hear a lot of people actually hate this one, including friends of mine, and I do not get this one bit. It's got time travel, sentinels, and Peter Dinklage. It gave us the better cinematic Quicksilver. It ties the original trilogy into the new one and gave us one…
