My second watch.
"Well, well, look who's inside again. Went out to look for a reason to hide again."
This stuck with me, as Burnham's work does, so I thought I'd enjoy it more with another viewing but holy shit. Totally forgot the "All Eyes On Me" scene even existed but I cried through the whole song. Only making this comparison because they were two of my favorites of last year, but this special feels like a melding of the brilliant performing of David Byrne's American Utopia and the lonely psychological terror of I'm Thinking of Ending Things to me. Hilarious and haunting and painful and captivating. I love it.
