so....beautiful.... yet so...... predictable??? i don’t know how to feel.

The realism of the cinematography and the pacing of scenes, the gritty look and slow-paced tone is such an intense contrast to the absolutely wacky melodrama of the third act, that while jarring and so cliche/cheesy, it’s ultimately very interesting and different and beautiful.

such a fantastic directorial debut for greta gerwig. i knew i'd love it, but i didn't know just how hard it'd hit home for me. can't imagine anyone not coming away from this movie feeling just how much love was poured into it.
