Despite all the controversy and politics surrounding The Hunt, I actually enjoyed it more than I thought I would. I'm not political in any way, but nothing about that aspect of the film bothered me that much. It can get annoying and forced at times, but it didn't ruin my experience. What really makes this movie is Crystal, who's played excellently by Betty Gilpin. She's such an entertaining character, and Betty Gilpin's performance carries the movie quite well. All the supporting cast is great as well, even with the little screentime most of them have. I also really enjoyed the story. It was interesting, intense, and extremely entertaining to watch. The fun characters, great action, and unexpected twists are also very noteworthy. I recommend giving The Hunt a shot. It's not for everybody, and it might hit you the wrong way depending on who you are, but this is still an entertaining ride even without the political satire.
