This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

I can’t remember why I had this on my watchlist but all in all I quite enjoyed it. Nicole is so disturbing and so fun to watch.

Honestly enjoyed this more than I remember. It’s not as good as the first one, but that’s usually the case with sequels, and Vaughn can’t be blamed for trying to expand on the success elements of Secret Service. If you allow yourself to accept the experience with all its absurdity, you can’t help but grin like a dork during those action sequences, or laugh at some of the interpersonal dynamics, especially between Taron, Colin and Mark. One thing is sure: from Jackman’s unmistakable scoring to Richmond’s distinct cinematography and every element in between, Kingsman is nothing if not unique. So stoked for The King’s Man!

Speaking as someone who has never read the book, I’m actually surprised by how much I enjoyed this. Beautifully filmed, visually stunning, superb production and sound design. In general, I was able to follow the reveal of information as the plot progressed. I expect I would have liked it far less if I had read the novel, which I’m told is infinitely denser and more complicated. I think what I appreciated the most, however, was the way in which the…
