Matt Curione’s review published on Letterboxd:
Wow, this was damn good.
Mike Nichols had a bizarre filmography, rarely repeating himself, as proof he followed up this dramatic werewolf thriller with The Birdcage two years later. Dude had range.
As for this? I kinda loved it? The cast is superb with Nicholson really swinging for the fences and Spader playing his usual dickbag character, but it works. Pfeiffer is terrific as well and makes a great foil for Jack.
Baker does a splendid job with the makeup as well, never going too over the top, and it goes with the story being told. Reminded me of the werewolf makeup from Werewolf of London.
A solid romantic horror film with some nice gore, Wolf rules.
