    Chronicle of a Summer

“I don’t worry about happiness... It’s an empty word anyway. Happiness, unhappiness, it’s all one. They shouldn’t be in the dictionary. Grief is another matter... “

A very intimate and sincere doc about the lives and happiness of random pedestrians living in France. It’s beautifully conducted and pieced together. It never got tiring due to the interviewee’s pouring their heart out about the normal life that most working class citizens can relate to. Some of these beautiful people and the…

    Through a Glass Darkly

My boy Rafael is probably going to kill me, so whoever is reading this is my witness if I end up missing...

I was loving this premise during the first act. An interesting family of 4 on a small beautiful island and all of them are conflicted with something within each other. Village of the Damned

    ★★★

Respectfully sitting at 77 mins, this is a nice little science fiction horror film that doesn’t waste anytime as you see village folks all fainted and completely motionless before the title cards even appear. West Side Story

    ★★½

Here’s a fun fact: This, 1989’s “Glory” & 1991’s “JFK” are films I’ve seen at least 3 times in my years of high-school.

Here’s another fact: I still find it to be overly dramatic, extremely silly and completely ridiculous, as if it was the first time seeing it again.

The colors are magnificent, the cast is giving dedicated performances, the songs are still catchy but this is obviously a genre that is not for me. I will never believe that random dancing and singing between gangs is a good idea and I don’t care how wrong I am about that.
