Jacob’s review published on Letterboxd:
Grace is all.
I usually adore films that explores the Christian message for what faith and our existence truly means but unfortunately as my rating would suggest, my soul wasn’t touched after almost 2hrs of a rookie priest narrating through the whole movie about his depressing struggles with coping with the job he “signed” up for. I sympathize for his illness, no doubt and I understand the minimalist style to tell this story and there are conversations that grabbed my interest but still, my soul was hoping for enlightenment, not depression. Sorry cinephiles, it’s another one of those films I understand you all love but another one I don’t enjoy.
