Jacob’s review published on Letterboxd:
Everything Is Awesome indeed besides the fact that I now want to buy all the LEGO’s in the world but one tiny set will cost you an arm and leg.
The animations are pretty much amazing, there were scenes I could tell that were stop motion and CGI but I find that sort of unique to blend the two and two together. The voice acting is superb. The biggest complaint I have is the message. As my good buddy Sam has said on his review, the message makes no sense whatsoever. When the protagonist has his last “speech” I was scratching my head because I’m trying to wrap my head around what he just said and trying my best to decipher it and it totally just went over my head.
Nonetheless, this film wasn’t supposed to be this good but I stand corrected. This was fun and I’m now having the urge to buy my daughter a Unikitty.
