2001 is to me not just an odyssey through the space, but through the time too.
I've got my own little theory when it comes to the ending, but I won't tell it here. Maybe after my next watch.
The actors were mostly good, nothing to special but also no one who was worse than mediocre.
The story is a bit of a unique one, you've to analyse it on your own to understand it I think, but all in all I think I liked it.
The score is absolutely magical and I loved every single track. It's just 100% fitting and goes often under the skin. Awesome!
The cinematography of Stanley Kubrick is one of a kind. There's probably no one who has a more stunning cinematography in his films than him and I love it. Just like in Shining or Clockwork Orange, the cinematography is unbeatable.
Sadly 2001 has its weaknesses in some scenes being a bit too long, but I didn't mind that too much. Probably a few seconds less here and there could've been cut.
