    Eternals

    ★★½

I don’t know, but this just wasn’t it for me. I was really looking forward to watching this film, and the reviews had been so brilliant that I went in with high hopes.
Although the acting was brilliant, it just didn’t seem like a marvel film. It held none of the same charms or intrigue, the story seemed bland and obvious.
Yes, some of the twists were unexpected, but overall I felt that this could have been done so much…

  • We Need to Talk About Kevin

We Need to Talk About Kevin

    ★★½

This was honest to god one of the most bleak and depressing films I have ever watched. With no obvious beginning or resolution, the film spans a two hour period of detached and remorseless abuse, from both parent and child.
I had to turn it off and continue watching the next day, as it brought my mood down so much.
It’s a sick and twisted portrayal of the lack of apparent cause and effect of abusive relationships and a loveless…

  • Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard

    Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard

    ★★½

This film would honestly have been utter shit if it wasn’t for Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L Jackson. The plot was pretty basic, think James Bond but even simpler. The cinematography was average at best and the stunts were unambitious. It definitely doesn’t nearly live up to it’s predecessor.
However it did put a smile on my face and make me laugh, and if you’re not looking for something to blow your mind but just a nice average film that you don’t have to concentrate on, that you can just laugh along with, I wouldn’t definitely recommend this one.
