Alec Toombs’s review published on Letterboxd:
I didn't get or like 2001: A Space Odyssey as a kid. Now I mostly get it and dig it quite a bit. Seeing it in 70mm IMAX most assuredly helped. The intermission would've served as a lovely time to do drugs if you really wanted to "experience" the film's climax and were so inclined. Stanley Kubrick is a director whose work I've often respected more than outright loved - too cold for my sensibilities. This is certainly the case with 2001, but the craftsmanship is outta this world as was often the case with Kubrick's oeuvre.
