after few days of not watching anything i thought (from the synopsis) this would be a good ice breaker .. But maaaan ! this was a tough ride !

The movie as a whole make you feel uncomfortable, sometimes u feel the urge to not look at the screen ... (that fucking dinner scene !)

The camera mouvement and shaking, and the pale color pallete reinforce the sense of melanochly of the girls journey..

Finally .. THE FUCKING LAST FRAME !!

Films that deals with such subject (... alienation/modenity) always interested me, and apperntly the south asians are the best at making em.

This is my first experience with Tsai Ming-Liang, I think i'm not the first one saying that but his work here feels like a mix between Wong Kar-Wai and Edward Yang.

The movie create a fascinating atmoshpher, it dealt wiht many topics; alienation, lost youth, urban life in the city of Taipei...

Also, the music theme is sublime !
