Michael Kent’s review published on Letterboxd:
So last night was my first time going to the movie theater in 8 months. I've been really low mentally lately, and I needed what only the movie theater can give me. It was incredibly awkward being in the empty theater, but it was still comforting. But on to Possesor...
Perhaps it's because I'm knee deep into a body horror podcast series, but I loved this movie. It's a little clunky at times, and you can easily draw comparisons to Brandon Cronenberg's father's work, but this movie really worked for me. It is on the surface level a morbid sci fi thriller, but beneath that it is a fascinating reflection on self identification.
More of this, less of everything else!
