This film completely surpassed all of my expectations and I really didn't expect this film to be as fantastic as it was. This film is Tarantino's love letter to classic Hollywood and Tarantino's ability to portray a certain time and place so well really does make the film so much more effective, and the way Tarantino depicts the main characters fear of becoming irrelevant within the changing film industry just makes the film so utterly engrossing and compelling, and for a film with a run time of 161 minutes this really did fly by and the fact that the film just focuses on the lives of it's characters without needing a more conventional narrative is just completely refreshing and works so well here.
I don't want to spoil too much here, but all I will say is if I were to compile a top tier Tarantino list this would most definitely be on it. Absolutely terrific and one of the most entertaining films I've seen in a long time. Highly recommended.
