Justin Benson’s review published on Letterboxd:
This, even if others tread similar ground in the future, feels like a final say on the matter of the movie gangster. A startlingly definitive acknowledge of what awaits those who live a life of violence and death: the same thing as the rest of us, yet without the ability for self-reflection or remorse. Just distance. Everything and everyone you ever had having already left you alone to die like the rest. And yet, you still feel nothing. The scariest film I’ve ever seen.
