Tuomas Kiiskinen’s review published on Letterboxd:
Dated and predictable, but I did manage to find the beauty and impact in Letter From an Unknown Woman. A poetic tragedy about a woman falling in love with a concert pianist. Fontaine is unsurprisingly phenomenal as the fan and Louis Jourdan is incredibly charming as the pianist. The romance was done well and you truly feel the emotion in the air. The melodrama can be a hit or a miss, but for me it worked well. Great structure and great style. Max Ophüls certainly caught my interest this being the first movie I've seen from him.
