    Mainstream

    ★★

Sometimes I think about watching more bad movies. Just to help even out my watches against all the good ones. From what I heard about it going in, I was expecting Mainstream to be quite the terrible flick. Especially when hearing about Andrew Garfield’s performance. Sympathy for Lady Vengeance

    ★★★★

After having watched Oldboy three times last year, and more recently Sympathy for Mr Vengeance, I have finally checked out the conclusion to Park Chan-wook’s Vengeance trilogy, with Sympathy for Lady Vengeance: A film that I greatly enjoyed; far more than Mr Vengeance, but not topping the masterpiece that is Oldboy.

    The Mitchells vs. The Machines

In 2012, [REDACTED] premiered Gravity Falls, an animated series created by Alex Hirsch. It is a show that I grew up with, alongside my siblings. We loved it during its run from 2012-2016, and still do today. I bring this up because Michael Rianda, a writer on the show, as well as being involved in its production overall, has recently emerged with his directorial debut: The Mitchells vs the Machines. This is a film that’s sort of been on my…
