Scenery as a Character

"You grow up around something, and it feels like nothing." - Columbus (2017)

Film allows us to be transported into worlds beyond our imaginations or into worlds close to our souls. Scenery can be used as a backdrop for richly layered emotion, horror, fantasies, and more, as presented in these films. In a sense, they are their own characters in the films themselves.
