Really fun little genre blend, surprisingly tasteful and though lacking the grit of the Italian western, more than making up for it in the character interactions and chemistry. The end finale is pretty awesome, too.
This would be a five star film were there not so much awkward downtime, but alas the outright masterful action scenes along with Lee's incredible presence and performance carry this through to the list of the great. The directing is also surprisingly stylish and full of personality.

People who say the second half is weaker than the first don't seem to understand the film properly. Whilst I do believe that the Drill Sergeant is the most entertaining character on screen, technically the 2nd half is just as strong (if not more, honestly).
