andrew’s review published on Letterboxd:
american popular culture has only exported one fully good product worthy of pride and it is sesame street. the kindness, curiosity and vulnerability of caroll spinney goes a long way to explain why that occurred.
i love sesame street because of its utopian vision of the american city as one of inclusion, inquisitiveness and willingness to stare down life’s harsh realities and approach them with childlike open-hearted love instead of callous fear.
rip caroll spinney. thanks for sharing yourself so wholly.
