One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest

    ★★★★

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest follows convicted criminal McMurphy as he is transferred to a mental institution and disrupts the normal procedures.

For a large portion of the movie I was debating if Nurse Ratched was a good person trying to do her job and our perspective is that of someone opposed to her, or if she as just "evil." I feel like it could have gone either way until the end. Billy emerges from his "love nest" triumphant,…

    Skyfall

    ★★★★

Skyfall follows a Bond recovered after a critical injury as he attempts to track town a cyber terrorist treating M directly.

    Mank

    ★★★½

Mank is the biopic of Herman J. Mankiewicz, focusing mostly on his alcoholism and writing Citizen Kane.

This is probably closer to an unfair criticism, but it bothered me a lot that this was in widescreen. If you are going to take the time and effort to make the film look and sound like a 40s movie in black and white with effects resembling aged film, why not additionally make it the original ratio? And in doing this subject in…
