Brad Pitt and Casey Affleck have never been better than they are here, delivering layered performances that break your heart. A modern masterpiece and simply one of the best films ever made.
I had to watch something with Robin Williams today after I heard of his tragic passing, and I chose to rewatch this film. I think it's pretty underrated and rarely discussed among Chris Nolans films, which is a shame. The dynamic between Pacino's cop and William's killer is great, and the scenes they share are truly electric. They are both on top of their game, and you can't take your eyes of them. I like the "feel" of the piece…
