Excellent period reproduction, lighting, and camerawork. Excellent acting and score. Shot in 17 days, this film throws standard coverage out the window and is better for it. The long graceful takes build a rich atmosphere and tension. A great love letter to early sci-fi and a crackerjack cinematic feature debut.
