Hilary’s review published on Letterboxd:
Some really interesting ideas, some beautiful shots, and some clever misdirects but overall the execution felt a bit messy.
The tone is pretty unbalanced...but to be fair, few films (**cough cough** Parasite) can really nail that genre melange in a way that doesn’t feel awkward.
Really enjoyed the casting of the “good guys”, but a handful of the talented minor characters seemed to be gravely underutilized (specifically Cox playing that bland-ass coffee shop owner).
In summary, not quite what I expected, but not too upset about watching it.
